Flood of July 2008
Mark Twain Lake exceeded the record lake level of 638 feet. At midnight on July 28, 2008, the lake level was at 637.77 feet which is nearly a foot above the previous record set on September 27, 1993. To see pictures taken by MTLSA members, go to:

As of noon July 28, the Corps of Engineers have shut down the lake to boaters and have begun letting out water from the lake at near its maximum outflow level. Another collection of 80 pictures were taken on July 28, 2008 around the marina and on and around the Clarence Cannon Dam. Click on the following link to see them:
