GKS Added page to define how to create a new page ...

A page in the MediaWiki Software is defined by its Title. With the MediaWiki Software, you can add as many pages to your website as you want. You just have to create a link inside an existing page that leads to your new page. <p> Here’s how: <p>

1. Go to: http://wiki.mtlsa.net
2. Click the Create an account or login button located at the top right corner of the Main Page.
3. Enter your MediaWiki Administrator’s username and password in the respective fields and click the Log in button.
4. Go to the existing page you want the new page to be linked from.
5. Click the edit button from the top navigation bar. You will see the contents of the existing page in editing mode.
6. Use the Internal Link button from the Edit Toolbar to insert a link to the new page.
7. Note: Replace the default Link title with Your Actual Title
8. Click the Save Page button when ready.
9. You can now go to the new page and start adding contents to it.

Note:

1. To open a page link in a new window, add the text: '|target=_new' immediately after the URL and before the descriptor for the link. Sample: MTLSA Home Page will be opened in a new window ... not the window containing the link.
2. The text: '|target=_blank' will accomplish the same thing.
3. The wiki logo at the top left corner of all pages is set in the LocalSettings.php configuration file.
   The environment variable '$wgLogo' is set to point to where the desired logo is located.
   You need to be careful not to destroy the default logo when new versions are installed.
   For example: '$wgLogo = "$wgScriptPath/skins/common/images/mtlLogo135.gif";'
