Getting started

Note that the wiki logo at the top left corner of all pages is set in the LocalSettings.php configuration file.
The environment variable '$wgLogo' is set to point to where the desired logo is located.
You need to be careful not to destroy the default logo when new versions are installed.
For example: '$wgLogo = "$wgScriptPath/skins/common/images/mtlLogo135.gif";'

Transclusion

Transclusion refers to the process by which the entire contents of a page are inserted on to another page for the sake of convenience, speed of editing and/or tidiness of the source wikitext. The process works by applying the title of the page to be transcluded, with two braces {{}} on either side and sometimes a colon.

Transclusion

Example: Template:Main Header

Tips and Hints

Wiki automatically makes a table of contents when using the Header tags. if we use the H1, H2, H3 .... tags we get a nested table of contents. Three header tags are used before a table of contents is created.
