Let's go Sailing!!
Suz was ready to go sailing Friday night when I got home from a week out of town for work. She woke me early so we would have plenty of time to remove the cover, put on the sails and SAIL!
When we got to the marina, I convinced her that we needed to wait another week...although Higher Porpoise looked like a good option!

All the boats looked safe and secure.
Sea you soon.

We made a visit to the lake this afternoon. All of the boats looked to be secure and eager to sail. There is no ice in the marina cove. However to get out of the cove would require an icebreaker of some sort. The ice is just beyond the island. Temperature was 52 at Hannibal with a partly sunny sky. Still a little ice and snow in some of the open cockpits. Saw the partially built visitor's center when driving in from the north. Where we live the ground is still about 95% white.
Attached are some happy snaps. Henry and Kathy.

Thanks, Henry. We were up as well - on our way back we decided to go across on Highway 107. The shot below is taken from the south bridge looking east. Anybody wanna sail to Cathedral Cove today?

Suz and I drove up to the lake this morning. Saw an eagle near Santa Fe.
The marina was clear of ice. All boats appeared to be in good shape.

We visited Black Jack Marina yesterday following the Planning Meeting. The lake was frozen, but the bubblers on the Marina were keeping most of the docks clear. All boats looked OK. Tom & Sandy added their bubbler at the end of F Dock.

I was at Blackjack last night to cover SLV. Ice covers the lake from the end of F dock to the bridge. John had lots of de-icers running and everything looked fairly clear. On F dock Second Wind and Spirito Santo were lightly iced in as was SLV. I started my de-icer and expect Spirito Santo will be cleared as well. There was ice on the lake-side of Goose and Porpoise. I was very consumed until after dark so I did not go to the Dark Side (A dock). Henry's boat was slightly tilted to port, but the motor was on that side? Did not notice it to be lower in water or any other problem. The lake level appears to be near normal pool. Shell

Suz and I were at the lake yesterday to check on Dragonfly. Everything looked good. There was a little snow on the docks and boats, but no ice around any of the boat.
